REVIEW THIS WAS A GOOD BOOK BECAUSE THERE WERE TWO STORIES THAT COME TOGETHOR IN THE END. IT WAS LIKE A SERIES OF COMPARISONS - RIGHT AFTER ROSE DID SOMETHING, THEY WOULD SHOW HOW BEN’S ATIONS WERE SIMILAR. IT WAS INTERESTING BECAUSE YOU GOT TO READ PICTURES AS WELL AS WORDS.

SUMMARY BEN AND HIS GRANDMOTHER, ROSE BOTH WANT DIFFERENT LIVES. BEN LONGS FOR A FATHER, ROSE DREAMS OF HER MOTHER AND IN THEIR CHILDHOOD BOTH SEEK ANSWERS. IN THIS BOOK BEN’S STORY IS TOLD IN WORDS AND ROSE’S STORY TOLD IN ONLY PICTURES. THEIR ADVENTURES ARE SIMILAR, EVEN THOUGH THEY TAKE PLACE 50 YEARS APART.

RECOMMENDATION I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE THAT REALLY LIKES ART AND THAT IS INTERESTED IN ADVENTURE. BOOKS.

SEQUENCE OF EVENTS BEN’S STORY IN WHITE, ROSE’S IN GREEN FIRST, BEN’S MOTHER DIED. SECOND, AFTER HE IS TAKEN IN BY HIS AUNT & UNCLE, HE SEES A FIGURE INSIDE HIS MOM’S HOUSE (BEN’S AUNT & UNCLE LIVE NEXT DOOR). WHEN BEN SNEAKS NEXT DOOR HE FINDS THAT IT IS ONLY HIS COUSIN, JANET. JANET LEAVES, BEN FINDS A BOOK MARK OF WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN HIS UNKOWN DAD WITH AN ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER, HE DIALS IT.ROSE HAD NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN WATCH A MOVIE STARRING HER MOTHER, A FAMOUS MOVIE STAR, LILLIAN MAYHEW.SHE HATED HER SITTERS WATCHING HER WHILE HER MOTHER WAS AWAY.SO EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, SHE WOULD SNEAK AWAY & WATCH HER MOTHER’S FAVORITE MOVIE, DAUGHTER OF THE STORM. WHEN BEN DIALED THE PHONE NUMBER HE STARTED TO HEAR A SIZZLING. THREE DAYS LATER, HE WOKE UP IN A HOSPITAL DEAF. HE MANAGED TO SNEAK AWAY BEFORE ANYONE SAW HIM AND FOUND THE ADDRESS THAT HAD BEEN PRINTED ON THE BOOKMARK. WHEN HE KNOCKED ON THE DOOR SOMEONE WHO WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT HIS FATHER ANSWERED THE DOOR. SHE WAS AN OLD WOMAN THAT ALL BEN COULD MAKE OUT WAS HER SAYING THE WORD “MOTHER”. BEN HAD NO IDEA WHAT SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT AND SO DECIDED TO LEAVE. ROSE HAD FINALLY FOUND THE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, BUT WHEN SHE WENT INSIDE THE GUARDS TRIED TO CHASE HER OUT. THE ONLY THING SHE MANAGED TO SEE WAS A METEOR AND SHE LEFT A PAPER ON TOP OF THE METEOR WHICH SAID “ I WISH I BELONGED SOMEWHERE”. LATER, WHEN BEN GOT STUCK AT THE MUSEUM, HE SAW THAT PAPER. HE WONDERED WHAT IT WAS. THEN HE RUNS INTO SOMEBODY WHO MIGHT BE WILLING TO HELP HIM. HIS NAME WAS JAMIE. HE TAUGHT BEN ABOUT THE MUSEUM AND HOW TO GET OUT. WALTER, ROSE’S OLDER BROTHER, WAS THE ONE WHO GOT ROSE OUT OF TROUBLE WHEN THE GUARDS TRIED TO CHASE HER OUT. ROSE THANKED WALTER, BUT THEN HAD TO GO. WHEN BEN HAD FINALLY GOTTEN OUT OF THE MUSEUM, THE SAME OLD LADY HE HAD MET BEFORE WAS WAITING FOR HIM. WITH A PENCIL AND PAPER, SHE INTRODUCED HERSELF AS ROSE. NOW BEN UNDERSTOOD WHAT SHE MEANT ABOUT “MOTHER”. HIS FATHER MAY BE DEAD, BUT NOW AT LEAST HE HAD A GRANDMOTHER. The end
