Good Food Good Mood COMENIUS Multilateral school partnerships GB1-COM Second year Leksand October 2013 IPSIA CARLO CATTANEO,Rome, Italy,

Classes involved : five of the 5th year (last year of Italian High School age ) and two of the 4th year ( age 17-18) Departments involved :Languages and history, technical subjects, I.T, Mathematics Working time: lesson time (no extra activities) Staff Involved: teachers and our Comenius Assistant Evaluation : All products will be evaluated and some of them will be used for the final examinations The project is integrated in the curriculum of the classes involved Second year

General : to encourage responsible consumerism And Communication in the mother tongue; Communication in foreign languages; more competences in the subjects involved ; Digital competence; Learning to learn; Group working Social and civic competences Sense of initiative Aims of the project

Classes divided in spontaneous groups, discussed and identified these topics: Topic 1 : Food as a cross cultural product Food habits and their changes Food origins Food and superstitions Food in art Aim : To identify intercultural relations and destroy stereotypes Objective : to make Italian students understand that food is much more than simply “food”

Topic : My family food habits Aim: to identify food habits Objective: to make students aware of costs, choices, real needs and wastes

Topic 3 : food and sustainable society Aim : to identify the effects of food productions and consumption on sustainability Objective: to create a more responsible consumer

They will be evaluated by the teachers of the different subjects on the base of: The cooperation of students (group works/single productions) The improving in using IT The challenge of using English The quality of the product Evaluation of the products
