What is the goal of tourism? To make a relation among people, industry, and economy; and to change the perception of people about its definition.

Definition Tourism is the sum of the phenomena and relationships arising from the interaction among tourists, the tourism industry, host governments, host communities, origin governments, universities, community colleges and non- governmental organisations, in the process of attracting, transporting, hosting and managing these tourists and other visitors. Which stakeholders play an increasingly important and direct role in tourism ? Origin governments, non-governmental institutions, territory educational institutions.

Why is tourism vital for many countries? It is the main economic activity. Because it involves environmental, cultural, and socio- economic activities.

What sector is the most important and impacting in the tourism of a country? The economic sector.

What sector is a primary agent of globalization? Tourism

In what area can tourism exercise an enormous impact? On host designation as well as transit and origin regions.

What sector has much to contribute to the evolving science of tourism? Educational sector.

What are the most important aspects of tourism? Economic, environmental, and socio-cultural phenomenons.

How has tourism evolved? From a marginal and locally significant activity to a widely disperse economic giant.

What have the economic benefits of the last half century been? The countries are more involved in globalisation. In 2001, it accounted for some 6% of the global economy or approximately 8 trillion USD.

How many jobs does tourism produce nowadays? Tourism now accounts directly and indirectly for more than 200 million jobs worldwide.

What is the impact of tourism to the host country? The tourism for the host country has a positive and negative impact because in many ways they are making a lot of money but they are having environmental problems.

What is implied by community management? It implies efforts of the country to modify the way tourism evolves or develops to aid fulfil their goals.

How can management help a community on their tourism activity? Increasing the economic impact of the tourism activity.

What are the main obstacles of tourism development? Tourism perceived as a trivial activity. Perceived as a vocational field of study. Large scale tourism as a recent activity. Lack of clear definitions and reliable data.
