PARCC Testing Preparation: Helpful Tips

PARCC??? Who is taking the PARCC Tests? – All students in Burbank School District 111. – Many students across our nation.

PARCC??? What are the PARCC Tests? PARCCP ARC C PARCC stands for Partnership of Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers. The subjects that are tested will be: – Reading – 3 sessions – Mathematics – 2 sessions

PARCC??? Where do we take this test? You will take the PARCC tests in a classroom. When are we taking this test? – 8 th Grade: March 11 th - March 17 th. – 7 th Grade: March 18 th - March 24 th.

PARCC??? How do we take the PARCC test? Each student will complete each session of the PARCC test on the computer. Why do we take this test? We take this test to see if we are “On track in our learning” “On track for success after high school” and for “tools to help our teachers customize learning to meet student needs”

PARCC??? How do study for the PARCC test? Study Island PARCC Website – Practice Test

THE NIGHT BEFORE the PARCC tests… Go to bed on time. Solve any problems that you are having with your family or friends before the day of the test. Talk to your parents about any concerns or worries that you might have about the test.

The morning of the test… Start your day as you always do. Eat a good breakfast.

The morning of the test… Be Present!! win… Students will win…

If all students in your testing session are present for every test, then your session will get a special event!!

The morning of the test… Think of what you will do to relax after you get home from school.

The morning of the test… Materials to bring: – Headphones – Personal Reading Book **This test is taken on the computer. All the other materials will be provided by the PARCC Test program.
