Tipperary Regional Youth Service Youth Information Service Services to Schools

Tipperary Regional Youth Service or Support for TY, CSPE, SPHE, LCA, LCVP Internet access for project research One class period talks:  Minimum Wage /Rights and Entitlements of Young People in the workplace  Stress and how to deal with it.  Youth Information – what is it?  Risky behavior workshop etc.  Bullying workshop  Youth Participation – Comhairle na Nog  LGBT awareness Classes can also visit the Youth Information Centre in the Tipperary or Thurles on request We can also design workshops on request on a topic of interest when needed.

Tipperary Regional Youth Service or Student Council training Run by experienced team who link with National Student council guidelines. Certified full day training The training day offers students skills in: Teambuilding Leadership Committee Roles How to run a meeting How to deal appropriately with authority Planning Evaluation Full handouts given Cost €295 per school – booking from Sept – Dec annually. A similar day for Peer Leadership is also available to school who wish to train students that may be taking on the role of Mentor, Big Brother, Cara etc.

Tipperary Regional Youth Service or Mock Interviews  On the day of the interview TRYS will provide a team who will conduct interviews and who will give: Tips on Interview Techniques Feedback on appearance and demeanour Feedback on interview Feedback on C.V. Interviews can take place in our office or the school and can be day or evening.

Tipperary Regional Youth Service or Work Experience Opportunity for student work experience in office, administration and youth work Fully supervised Plan for activities will be drawn up between the student and the supervisor Reference at end of period (if earned) We can take young people for long term GAISCE personal development or work experience awards.

Tipperary Regional Youth Service or Teen Between A Support Service for Adolescents Whose Parents Have Separated A one-to-one listening service A free, confidential service Aimed at teenagers Provides a safe, objective space for the young person to talk Normalises feelings Acknowledges what is going on for others in the family Teaches problem-solving techniques Happier young person.

Tipperary Regional Youth Service or VOLUNTEERS Tipperary Regional Youth service prides itself on its volunteers and a lot of our work depends on the good will and time volunteers give to our projects and the workers that run them, if you have time in today’s busy world to give us you can become a volunteer with us, contact us on or us on A full Garda check and training is given to all our volunteers to ensure there safety and that of the young people we work with. A little time either weekly or occasionally goes along way in voluntary work, you can get involved in summer camps, group work, committees or youth clubs.
