School Council Primary Coordination

What is a School Council? O School Council is a group composed of primary students, elected by their peers in a democratic process, to represent their class within the school community. Students Elected Representatives

What is a School Council? O Is a representative structure for students like you!!! O You can become involved in the school issues, working in partnership with the Coordination and School Principal for the benefit of the school and its students.

What is a School Council? O Student Council members will be taught leadership and speaking skills as training to be leaders in the future.

The School Council goal… O Leading by example O Improving school in different areas O Creating projects to help others in our Community O Being a source of communication between students and school administrative staff

A Representative is … Someone who represents their class group through democratic process to express their ideas.

Can I participate? O 5th grade representatives will be our … House Captains and Vice-Captains The Election will be developed among interested students from 1st to 4th grades

What do I have to do to become a School Councillor? O Be able to speak out O Someone who will take it seriously O Someone who can put across good ideas O Someone caring O Someone others can trust and be a role model O Someone very reliable O Able to keep to the subject O Someone who is enthusiastic

Results O Results will be announced in our Assembly session of Monday 29th, June 2015.

School Councillors O How will I be able to recognise a School Councillor? All School Councillors will be given a badge.

School Councillors O A photograph will be taken of all School Councillors and this will be displayed in one of our School Boards.
