Corporate Telehealth Telehealth allows a health care provider to connect to a patient through technology. The health care provider is able to review the patient’s medical history, current symptoms and provide a treatment plan. A prescribed medication can be called into the patient’s pharmacy.
A telehealth model in the workplace allows real-time, same-day appointments for employees. Telehealth appointments only last about minutes. Minimal time away from work. Puts a stop to unnecessary and expensive medical visits. No long waits in waiting rooms full of sick patients. Corporate Telehealth

UMMC Corporate Telehealth has seen over 1,100 patients Here are a few things the patients have to say about it…. “I used the new Telehealth System yesterday and it is awesome!! I am a big chicken when it comes to going to the doctor and would probably not have gone if it were not for the new Telehealth System. A big thanks to BankPlus for offering us this new tool in healthcare!!” “This is a great benefit! Because it’s the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I would have tried to self-medicate with over-the-counter meds and would have waited to go to doctor when the time was more convenient. But, thanks to Telehealth, I was able to go ahead and speak with someone and get the meds I need! It was quick and easy!” Corporate Telehealth
UMMC Corporate Telehealth has seen over 1,100 patients Here are a few things the patients have to say about it…. “I never thought I would need to use it so soon, but it worked very well for me. I was able to speak with the doctor this morning and pick up my prescriptions during lunch. I’ve been battling a sinus infection/bronchitis for a while now, so it was great to get more medicine without returning to the doctor’s office.” “It worked! I feel better and I’m a believer!” Corporate Telehealth
UMMC Corporate Telehealth has seen over 1,100 patients Here are a few things the patients have to say about it…. “My appointment went great. It wasn't any different than a regular doctor appointment. I actually want to say it was more in depth than a regular doctor appointment because she asked a lot of questions, and she listened to my responses. I didn't feel rushed. It was really nice.” “I was told what meds I would get and what to expect. My local drug store was called and on my lunch hour I picked up my prescriptions. Cost of Appointment $0.00. Cost of three prescriptions $0.00. On the road to recovery!” Corporate Telehealth
UMMC Corporate Telehealth has seen over 1,100 patients Here are a few things the patients have to say about it…. “I used the new Telehealth program last week and LOVED IT!!! The people that work there were so friendly and it was great not to have to leave work for something small like a sinus infection. I was able to see the nurse practitioner at 4:40 after we closed and get my prescription called in. The whole process cost me $8.00 for my two prescriptions and about 15 minutes of time (including getting my meds!).” Corporate Telehealth
The employee calls the telehealth scheduler to give a preferred time to connect to the telehealth provider. The employee submits 3 consent forms prior to the visit. In some cases, a telehealth provider can be the first line of defense and point the employee in the right direction should they need to see a specialist of any kind.
Corporate Telehealth Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant is a big supporter of telehealth and even stopped by the telehealth set-up at the BankPlus Human Resource offices to test it for himself.
