Comenius Project “The traces that link us”

A DAY IN MY LIFE

Hello friends from Comenius Project! We are the students from your Italian partner school: Scuola Media “G. Pascoli”, Gatteo. We would like to show you a typical day in our lives, so that we can get to know eachother a little better. We might have different life styles, but we are the same inside. Enjoy our presentation: “A Day in my Life”

My mornings… I go to school six days a week, from Monday to Saturday. Yes, we go to school on Saturdays!!!! On school days, I get up at 6:45, I wash, I get dressed and I have breakfast (I usually eat a typical Italian breakfast, with milk and cornflakes or cappuccino and pastries). I go to school by bus at 7:40. It takes 20 minutes to get to school and I am there at 8.00, almost time for the first lesson!

SCHOOL STARTS AT ON MONDAY WE HAVE ON OUR FIRST HOUR FRENCH AND ON THE SECOND HOUR TECHNOLOGY BUT IT’S BORING!!! THE THIRD LESSON IS ITALIAN LITERATURE AND AFTER WE HAVE HISTORY AND POEMS. AT 1.10 THE BELL RINGS AND IT IS THE END OF OUR MORNING SESSIONS. THEN WE ALL GO TO HAVE LUNCH AT THE SCHOOL CANTEEN. AFTER LUNCH WE RUSH OFF TO PLAY FOOTBALL OR VOLLEYBALL TOGETHER AT 2.05 PM LESSONS START AGAIN, AND WE WORK ON DIFFERENT PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES, LIKE COOKING, THEATRE, ETC.. SCHOOL FINISHES AT 17.10, BUT ONLY ON MONDAY,ON THE OTHER DAYS LESSONS FINISH AT 1.10.

OUR SCHOOL Our school is about 50 years old. Inside the main gates there is a little garden with flowers, a little vineyard and behind it, a great Soccer field.

At I go home and I have lunch. Sometimes I eat pasta, meat and a piece of fruit. I don’ t like meat but my parents make me eat it!! I also hate vegetables!!! Carots, peas, cauliflowers, green salad: bleah!!!

In my family everybody loves desserts but I do love sweets more than anybody!! Fresh fruit salad, ice cream, cheese cake: Yummi!! I eat a lot of chocolate!!! I drink coke fruit juice, tea, etc..!! Not much water!!

GIULIA’S TYPICAL AFTERNOON In the afternoon I go horse riding, I love it! At 17:00 I go to the gym (it’s a lot of fun), it ends at 18:00. When I come home I take a shower and I eat dinner. STEFANO’S TYPICAL AFTERNOON From to I watch cartoons and from to I usually do my homework. Then I play with my playstation, listen to music, read a book, go to football practice or hang out with my friends. At I have my dinner.

MARINA’S TYPICAL AFTERNOON After school I watch tv: my favourite cartoons are Dragon Ball, Naruto and the Simpsons. After I relax and I do my homework. I don’t like staying at home the whole afternoon, so I practice many sports: dancing, swimming and sometimes I go to the gym. When I go back home I take a shower (I am usually soo tired!!) …

I usually have dinner at 19:30 with my family. We usually eat typical Italian food: Sometimes we start with pasta, sometimes we just have meat or fish with vegetables and bread. After dinner I prepare my school backpack for the next day and I finish my homeworkor revise my lessons At 21:00 I watch TV : if there is nothing interesting on, I watch a film on DVD. I usually go to bed between 21:45 and 22:30.
