Focused Labor Market Information Efforts to Inform Sector Initiatives Assign Labor Market Analysts to specific Industries to: A.Use multiple sources of data and information, including traditional BLS sources, jobs posting data and feedback from employers B.Produce annual reports on each industry C.Serve as a resource for staff, partners and stakeholders

Industry-Specific Career Awareness Effort

-Competitive grants awarded to higher education institutions and industry associations -Funded with federal (Rapid Response) and state workforce development sources ($250,000 per year per Talent Network) Key responsibilities: -Serve as a key source of intelligence about the workforce needs of the industry -Provide workforce services to jobseekers and employers -Build connections between employers, educational institutions and workforce organizations 3.
