A lot of kids in bad and poor neighborhoods don’t have anything to do after school. This encourages them to go on the streets. In bad neighborhoods this can be very dangerous to the child's health and education because there are very bad people who will give out drugs to kids. Also the bad people who were most likely dropouts, can convince the kids that dropping out is the right choice. (Which it is NOT!)

Where Does mini Chefs come in? mini Chefs is an organization that keeps kids off the street while doing something that they will learn to love. Cook! This program is for kids in grades K-8 so by the time they graduated mini Chefs they will have learned so many new recipes that they would rather cook than be on the streets! mini Chefs teaches kids how to cook but also half of the food that they cook is given to a soup kitchen or just to anyone who needs it that these kids find!

What are the details? Our mini Chefs will learn a new healthy easy recipe everyday after school! They also make their own dinner and learn how to use kitchen supplies in a safe way! While the food is cooking, The cooking teachers will help the kids with homework. How can this get any better????
