Welcome to OUTGOING Proclamation People

O for a thousand tongues to sing My great Redeemer’s praise, The glories of my God and King, The triumphs of His grace! My gracious Master and my God, Assist me to proclaim, To spread through all the earth abroad The honors of Thy name.

Jesus! the name that charms our fears, That bids our sorrows cease; ’Tis music in the sinner’s ears, ’Tis life, and health, and peace. He breaks the power of canceled sin, He sets the prisoner free; His blood can make the foulest clean, His blood availed for me.

He speaks, and, listening to His voice, New life the dead receive, The mournful, broken hearts rejoice, The humble poor believe. Hear Him ye deaf; His praise ye dumb, Your loosened tongues employ; Ye blind, behold your Savior come, And leap, ye lame, for joy.

Look unto Him, ye nations, own Your God, ye fallen race; Look and be saved through faith alone Be justified by grace. See all your sins on Jesus laid: The Lamb of God was slain, His soul was once an offering made For every soul of man.

19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, Peace be with you! 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. John 20:19-23

As the Father has sent me, I am sending you 21 Again Jesus said, Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you. 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven. What mission do we receive from Jesus? Not Saviour of the World! John 19:30 Proclaiming the forgiveness of sins.

24 Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, We have seen the Lord! But he said to them, Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it. John 20:24-31

26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, Peace be with you! 27 Then he said to Thomas, Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe. John 20:24-31

28 Thomas said to him, My Lord and my God! 29 Then Jesus told him, Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. 30 Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Christ Scripture Proclamation

Christ Bible Proclamation When Christ is proclaimed biblically

Christ must be proclaimed biblically

John 5 37 And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form, 38 nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent. 39 You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life...

John But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set. 46 If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. 47 But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?

Luke 24

44 Jesus said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” 45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures....

Luke He told them,“This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

My job is not to speak about the Bible. My job is to speak about what the bible speaks about: CHRIST Christ must be proclaimed biblically

“I offered them Christ.” Cool Credibility Creeds Courses

Acts 17:11 Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Christ must be proclaimed biblically

“If I say, "I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name," there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, indeed I cannot.” Jeremiah 20:9 Christ must be proclaimed biblically

“Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!” 1 Corinthians 9:16 “It has been written, "I believed, and so I spoke," we also believe, and so we also speak.” 2 Corinthians 4:13 Christ must be proclaimed biblically

“The love of Christ controls us... Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us.” 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 Christ must be proclaimed biblically

The evangelist is never capable of speaking of Christ. They are incapable of doing anything else.

I’d believe if God showed up in awesome power.

NEXT WEEK... What’s stopping us? Why don’t we evangelise? Is it really because we don’t have all the answers? What’s the relationship between ‘reason’ and ‘faith’ anyway?

We have a gospel to proclaim Good news for men in all the earth; The gospel of a Savior name: We sing His glory, tell His worth. Tell of His birth at Bethlehem, Not in a royal house or hall But in a stable dark and dim: The Word made flesh, a light for all.

Tell of His death at Calvary, Hated by those He came to save; In lonely suffering on the cross For all He loved His life He gave. Tell of that glorious Easter morn: Empty the tomb, for He was free. He broke the power of death and hell That we might share His victory.

Tell of His reign at God’s right hand, By all creation glorified; He sends His Spirit on His Church To live for Him, the Lamb who died. Now we rejoice to name Him King: Jesus is Lord of all the earth. This gospel message we proclaim: We sing His glory, tell His worth.
