Home Buyer’s Information Center Check List

House Buying Checklist Be an informed buyer. Gather as much information as possible. Become familiar with the mortgage process. Become pre-approved before you look for a home. Shop with the confidence of a “cash buyer” (Home Buyers).

Have your credit report in hand. It makes the process easier. Have a trusted agent. This way you have some representation.

Decide what you want in a home. Become familiar with the various types of homes: single family, townhouse, and condo. Time to look for your home.

Make an offer on the home you want. Your offer soon can become a contract. Get the house inspected before you buy. There may be problems with the home that an investigator can spot. Home warrantees would be a good thing to know about. “Compare and secure homeowners insurance” (Home Buyers).

Arrange a time for an agent or attorney to be present for the closing. Final walk through of the house. “Final closing and settlement” Move into your new house and enjoy your home.

Mortgage Calculator The following URL is a link to Mortgage Calculator.com. “A mortgage calculator, also known as a mortgage payment calculator is a financial tool used to determine what your estimated mortgage payment will be and is based on certain variables such as home value, loan amount, interest rate...etc” (Mortgage Calculator).
