LIFE ON THE ICE Done by: Mariam Mourad 3b

The top (Arctic) and bottom of our planet (Antarctica) are covered with ice

Planes use skis to land in these wintry worlds

Scientists use this snow to test different things : air pollution, study history and how ice ages begin and end

At the south pole scientists search for meteorites, rocks from outer space

People wear special clothes to warm their bodies in this very cold weather

People who go there do not wear any metals because the ice will freeze it

Choose The ice covering Antarctica contains………….of the world’s freshwater % 2-70% 3-40%

Choose What are meteorites 1- north pole animals 2- rocks from outer space 3- balloons to measure rays from outer space

Choose Planes land on the north and the south poles ….. 1- using skis 2- normally by rolling down runways 3- using balloons

Choose When they go to Antarctica they wear what 1- swimming suits 2- earrings, sunglasses and rings 3- overalls with fat-boy pants, goggles and bulky mittens
