Presentation of recent developments in disaster risk reduction in Poland What has been done in Poland since our last meeting in Cracow? 1.On 14th of June 2007 hydro-meteorological service in branch office of IMGW in Cracow organized The avalanche seminar – civil safety in the mountains Main inputs: -new activities of IMGW, -discussion on hydro-meteorological conditions and snow cover conditions in winter season 2006/2007, -discussion on avalanches occured in winter season 2006/2007 -discussion on the new Council of the Minsters order regarding safty conditions in the mountains, -organization of the avalanche service in IMGW.
