Cenergia Energy Consultants The EU CONCERTO project Class1 - Demonstrating cost-effective low energy buildings Ove Mørck, Cenergia Energy Consultants CONCERTO PREMIUM MEETING Brussels, October 22, 2012

Cenergia Energy Consultants The CLASS 1 project comprises: Demonstration of: –New dwellings at low energy standard class 1, one kindergarten and one centre for elderly people –Energy renovation of 7 public buildings –Renewable energy supply: Photovoltaic Cells (PV) & Solar heating Research and development of: –6 core technologies –Legislation –EU Flower labelling Training and dissemination –Knowledge transfer from experiences and lessons learned to 4 associated countries (Estonia, France, Italy and Romania) –General dissemination (website, journals, conferences, etc.)

Cenergia Energy Consultants Participants Danish: –Egedal, Cenergia, SBi, Aalborg University and 6 manufacturers: Protec Vinduer, Maxit, Biosynergi Process, Genvex, Logstor and EHK Home Automation Foreign: –8 act together in pairs (advisor + municipality) for 4 cities: IB Aksiaal OÜ & Valga (Estonia), SUDEN & Begles (France), ICIE & Bologna (Italy) and APDL & Odobesti (Romania). –1 - ENEA (Italy) is the leader of the WP4 covering indoor air climate, measuring and evaluation

Cenergia Energy Consultants Requirements to the low energy buildings – new and renovated: New low-energy buildings Have to comply with “Low energy buildings class 1” that have an energy demand of 50 % compared with the standard requirement from Danish BR08 for new houses. (75% below BR10). Renovated public buildings Are to reach the standard requirement from Danish BR08 for new houses.

Cenergia Energy Consultants 5 → 4 different types of new buildings 65 ultralow-energy social housing units – the KAB social housing project A kindergarten A centre for senior citizens About 60 single-family houses App. 400 dwellings in dense low-rise buildings were originally planned – the EU-support is now transferred to energy renovation of 7 public buildings
