1. How does a common band start? Each member of a band is interested in music, so they gather to write and play their own music.

2. How did the Monkees band start? A TV show wanted to play jokes on each other as well as play music,which was based on the Beatles. The organizers advertised for four musicians who could act as well as sing, but at last they could just find one who was good enough, so they had to use actors for the other three members of the band. At first, they just pretended to sing, but gradually, they became serious about their work and began to write and play their own music. They became a real band at last.
