CSAT/ATTC Updates Catherine Nugent Donna Doolin ATTC Directors’ Meeting November 2009

SAMHSA Staffing Pamela Hyde announced as President’s nominee for SAMHSA Administrator. Awaiting Senate confirmation. Donna Doolin hired as ATTC Project Officer.

Status of Budget FY2009 finished 9/30/09. FY2010: Operating under a Continuing Resolution.

CSAT Senior Staff Retreat Key themes: – A changing environment (new Administration, ONDCP, staff changes) – New program paradigm – Others…….

Grants Management Actions in Process (or Upcoming) NOGAs for 2010 fiscal year sent to all grantees. Carryover requests: FSRs due to Grants Management no later than December 31, Carryover requests due in early March. (Encouraged to submit FSR and carryover concurrently.) NIDA special project supplements – Will request applications early in 2010.

ATTC Tech Transfer Model 10/20: Laurie Krom, Heather Gotham, Dan Squires, & Aaron Williams presented model at CSAT – CSAT Workforce Development Work Group – Dr. Clark – Was very well received.

Collaborative Opportunity Partners NIATx, SAAS, and ATTCs Why Business practice skill development is key under health care reform. Each partner has unique skills to offer in the diffusion of business practices. What To examine how the NIATx PI model and the ATTC TT model complement each other and how both can be used to promote the ACTION II campaign.

PFR/ATTC Leadership Institutes Numerous meetings and conference calls to advance planning and budget estimates. Queries of ATTCs re. interest in standard LI in Moving forward with planning for advanced LI and other activities in leadership development plan. Further discussion/planning this morning.

KAP Program Updates The new KAP3 contract was awarded in September (to JBS and The CDM Group).
