THE NATYASHASTRA and THE POETICS Bharata Aristotle Origin and discussion It is composed of sacred material. It is meant for an audience that is well- versed in the performance tradition. It is performed by members of the highest rank in the caste system, i.e., priests. It requires special knowledge and skill to execute.
