Inuit language comprises two main groups: the western Inuit group and eastern Inuit group. Western Inuit group comprises Chukotka, Southwest Alaska, and Prince William Sound and Kodiak Island. The Eastern spreads from Norton Sound through North Alaskan coastline in the north, including inland areas in Kobuk and Anaktuwuk Pass.

In the 16th century the Inuit began to barter with European whalers and missionarys and others visitors to the north for tea, weapons and alcohol. Some Inuit believed that their ancestors can be seen in the northern ligjhts You can usualy see the northern lights in nothwestern canada and alaska

 Vurtually all inuit cultures have been knowen for raiding the inuit had famous raids like the Bloody falls massacure. The Inuit also sometimes would raid other inuit villages.
