Malaysia Why Malaysia needs US influence

History Of Malaysia During the late 18 th and 19 th centuries, Great Britain established colonies and protectorates in South East Asia in between Thailand and Indonesia. The current Malaysia, then the Malay Peninsula formed the Federation of Malay. This federation which consisted of the British colonies of Singapore and the east Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak.

Conflict Malaysia is not a democracy therefore it does not have a democratic form of government. Malaysia is a Constitutional Monarchy, in which there is a monarch in place that acts as the states head (“Constitutional Monarchy”). He is restricted in power by the constitution. According to freedomhouse.org, Malaysia, is not free in regards to press and only partly free when it comes to the internet.

Why The US Should Help! Malaysia would be free in terms of press and internet. Its the United States job to maintain peace internationally as the sole superpower. Human Rights issues arise from the death toll rising.

Conclusion the country's only way of obtaining a free status in relation to the internet is to open the country up to the rest of the world. I do however perceive that the country is trying to move to a state of being an international player in the world through the goods and services that it is able to produce within it borders. In order to do that and be successful I believe Malaysia is putting in fail safes to combat possible failures for transitioning into a true democracy. In the event that the country is successful it could become a global competitor.
