Reading Like a Writer  The summer dusk hisses on sprinklers  Even one word can change the sentence to a piece of art hisses is a great word and really makes this part of his piece pop and makes really visualize it.

Reading Like a Writer  Quote “dusk gives signal for night to be born”  What does this teach me about writing? This teaches me personification can be used anywhere to make a story sound like a storyteller is telling it.

Reading Like a Writer  “Slowly dusk pours the syrup of darkness into the forest”  This particular quote showed a great example of personification. Also this makes you imagine. Thank you for taking your amazing skills with writing and showing them to me.

Reading Like a Writer  “Dawn is like a seed that grows into daylight.”  This quote teaches me how to use similes in creative way. It is also a form of personification, which can usually be used easily in picture books.

Reading Like a Writer  “In the summer dusk hisses on the sprinklers, it flushes out the millions of mosquitoes and armies of bats to eat them.”  It teaches me to be descriptive and sometimes it’s okay to exaggerate.
