Seminar San Francisco 2014

Context and content The content of the case/consultation is the information from:  Medical diagnosis,  Questionaires  Words of the patient ‘ Objective data’ (masculine aspect)

Medical diagnosis  Trying to fit a unique totality into a box (Hahnemann already objected to this)  Merks Mannual contains almost 2500 pages and doesn’t suffice to define modern diseases (too much individualization in the west)  Still homeopathy wants to become credible by claiming cured cases of X and Y pathology

Context and content  The notes are not complete but a selection  When the patient talks too quickly, repeats himself, uses uncommon expressions, talks in riddles, we don’t note it down  The homeopath deletes, distorts or generalizes the information

Context and content  Context is the totality of what we observe take step back and look at the whole before exploring the detail  We know observation is important in children and and baby’s but this gives mainly level 1 and 2 Information (generalities)

Context and content  Totality also means: behavior, posture, rhythm, body language, (of which the HG is one aspect), intonation, emotion, etc  It’s the overall impression the patient makes on the homeopath  This is level 3, 4 and 5 information

Context and content  The relationship the patient builts up with the homeopath during consultation  The way the consultation evolves  It’s the sum of the subjective impressions and experiences (female aspect)

Determining kingdoms from the context Mineral kingdom  Second dimension substances  There is one issue  Builts up  The patient answers your questions  Often the case is not complex and straightforward

Determining kingdoms from the context Monera  Observe and take step back  No clear or too many not fitting diagnoses, chronic states of acutes,  Disease/becoming healthy is the main issue throughout their life

Determining kingdoms from the context  Simple organisms: eat, sleep, exist, grow  Second dimension cases, therefor look ‘superficial’  Weak will, no centre, borrowed identity from gurus, therapists, family, etc

Determining kingdoms from the context Animal kingdom  Aware of and checking the effect on the homeopath  Often lively, engaging, attractive  Third dimension cases  More complex cases  Different aspects built up the case  Often compensated ( predators are minority)

Determining kingdoms from the context Plant kingdom  Relates to and is affected by environment  Builts up a relationship with the homeopath  Miasma often is clear in the beginning  Answers questions with another example

Determining kingdoms from the context  Third dimension cases  Many, many, many (symptoms, modalities, examples, stories  When you can’t see the bush for the trees  Specific sensitivity  Sensation words sound like common emotions

Determining kingdoms from the context Others  Nosodes/Sarcodes  Stones  Gems  Organic compounds  Drugs/medicines  Imponderables  Celestial bodies  Etc….
