A kind of music originated from black people in America. In the beginning, white people didn’t like it, said “ it is not the music”, even art. Another origin of rap is a form of Jamaican folk stories called "toasts." These are narrative poems that tell stories in rhyme. Rap is a way of poetically expressing oneself while rhyming on a beat. It reflects the basic of society and truly the reality of life. People enjoyed this kind of stimulative, safe, dangelous and impressive rhyming. This had a great effect upon the values of young people. Every so often a new style of music emerges that takes America by storm and comes to represent the generation that grows up with it.
