Department Vision Statement To be a leading model in innovative and reliable communications where community members are engaged in the NISD culture. Department Mission Statement The NISD Communications Department will inform and promote news in a timely manner, while embracing innovative technology, engaging the community, and positioning NISD as a premier school district.

Department Goals Provide communication in a variety of methods. Research new methods of communications. Provide timely, honest communications.

How do we support campus communications? Share good news throughout the district and to local media. Encourage use of online “Tell Us Your News” form.Tell Us Your News Support campus personnel in crises and emergencies. Provide training/staff development/ encouragement.

Partners in Education School Supply Drive helped more than 850 students Angel Tree provided gifts for more than 680 students Hosted 406 readers at Northwest Reads Lakeview Elementary volunteers logged 8,605 hours from July to April, equivalent to $201,357 4,752 Total PTA Members
