Delivering research to make patients, and the NHS, better About NIHR CRN Part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) est. in 2006 Comprises 15 Local Clinical Research Networks that cover the length and breadth of England. Each local Clinical Research Network delivers research across 30 clinical specialties. Provides an “infrastructure” to support research studies: research support costs, access to facilities, training etc Approx 630,000 patients recruited to studies last year

Delivering research to make patients, and the NHS, better Research Engagement Award NIHR Clinical Research Network in partnership with N.A.P.P is launching its own award, the Research Engagement Award. We will be looking for examples from Patient Participation Groups which illustrate: Building a research culture – making research part of the everyday for practices and CCGs Evidence of events and activities which have promoted CRN patient campaigns Where PPGS have provided a patient perspective and feedback options for patients and much more Applications are available online or you can pick one up today from the Clinical Research Network stand.
