Thespian Members Authorized by Troupe Directors No Limit on Number of Participants Direct Contact between Students & Universities Possible call-backs with Universities at the MO-Thespian State Conference Top five will be asked to audition live in front of college representatives TWO CATEGORIES 11 th Grade Performance COLLEGE AUDITIONS 12 th Grade SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS Thespian Members Authorized by Troupe Directors Limited Number of Participants per School per Category Scholarship applicants will perform/interview at MO-Thespians State Conference Possible call-backs with Universities at the Mo-Thespian State Conference

11 th Grade Performance College Auditions  Performance WHAT ARE THE POSSIBILITIES? 12 th Grade Scholarship Auditions  Performance  Technical Theatre  Theatre Education  Theatre for Life All Acceptd applications must be Submitted and Paid for by November 4, 2014.

 Each Performance applicant MUST complete:  Audition Application on Acceptd  A resume  The required resume PDF can be found on the MST Website under the “Scholarship Applicants” tab  The word RESUME must be in the title of the uploaded resume  A video audition  Audition video must include :  Name of performer  School name  Troupe number  Name of each piece and author  2 contrasting monologues OR 1 monologue and a cutting of a song  The word AUDITION must be in the title of the uploaded file.  Audition may not exceed THREE minutes  Other Uploaded material may include, but is not limited to  Dance performance  Evidence of performances you have been in  Theatre participation evidence  Even though you are applying for performance College Auditions, you may provide evidence of work technical fields  You may upload as much material as you would like for the College Reps to view. 11 TH GRADE COLLEGE AUDITIONS: PERFORMANCE

 The top 5 auditions will be chosen to perform live at the Missouri State Thespian Conference in front of College Representatives.  The top 5 will be chosen based on their audition only, not on their supplemental materials.  Students will be notified by December 25 th if they are chosen.  Even those who are not chosen have the possibility of being contacted by interested colleges via the Acceptd website. 11 TH GRADE COLLEGE AUDITIONS: PERFORMANCE

 All Students will perform live at the Missouri State Thespian Conference in front of College Representatives.  Students may be called back to visit College tables and/or to the Call Back Breakfast on Saturday Morning. 12 TH GRADE SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS: PERFORMANCE

12 TH GRADE SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS: TECHNICAL THEATRE  Each Performance applicant MUST complete:  Audition Application on Acceptd  A resume  The required resume PDF can be found on the MST Website under the “Scholarship Applicants” tab  The word RESUME must be in the title of the uploaded resume  A portfolio that is uploaded to Acceptd.  Portfolios may include:  Evidence of work in various or a single Technical field  Details about each play/musical/one-act for which they have designed  Pictures of actualized designs  Documentation of the design process  Drawings, Draftings, Notes, Charts Analysis, etc.  Explanation of design choices  Even though you are applying for a Technical Theatre Audition, you may provide evidence of Acting, Music, or Dance experience  You may upload as much material as you like for the College Reps to view.  All students will participate in a live display and interview while at conference.  Prepare materials to be displayed on or nearby a table for the technical interviews. The materials should fit on an 8 foot by 3 foot rectangular table. You may also use up to 3 feet around your table area for free standing items like dress forms and mannequins.  Some students will be invited to callbacks with colleges during conference, or invited to the Call Back Breakfast on Saturday morning.

12 TH GRADE SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS: THEATRE EDUCATION  Each applicant MUST complete:  An Audition Application on Acceptd  A Resume  The required resume PDF can be found on the MST Website under the “Scholarship Applicants” tab  The word RESUME must be in the title of the uploaded resume  An Essay that is then uploaded to Acceptd  words on one of four topics.  1. What teaching practices have you witnessed that you would want to adopt in your future theatre classroom?  2. What was your favorite lesson, what did you like about the lesson, and why was this lesson effective at teaching?  3. What was your least favorite lesson, what would you change about this lesson to make it more effective?  4. What characteristics do you possess that would make you an inspiring theatre teacher?  A Portfolio that is then uploaded to Acceptd. It may include, but is not limited to:  Theatre related Lesson Plans:  Acting, Technical Theatre, Storytelling, Voice/Movement Etc.  Videos of educational presentations  Recommendations from Teachers whom you have assisted or taught for (A+, Cadet Teaching, Tutoring, Peer Facilitating etc.)  You may upload as much material as you like for the College Reps to view.  Each Applicant will be asked to interview at the MO State Thespians Conference  Prepare materials to be viewed during the interviews. The materials should be in a 3-ring binder, or a small display.  Some students will be invited to callbacks with colleges during conference and/or the Call back Breakfast on Saturday Morning.

12 TH GRADE SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS: THEATRE FOR LIFE  Each applicant MUST complete:  An Audition Application on Acceptd  A Resume that is then uploaded to Acceptd  Resume PDF can be found on the MST Website under the “Scholarship Applicants” tab  The word RESUME must be in the title of the uploaded Resume  A Portfolio that is then uploaded to Acceptd  Portfolios may include, but are not limited to:  Evidence that cites specific examples of work and other materials that would demonstrate the breadth and depth of the applicant’s participation in the life of the local troupe or other theatre activities in the community.  Photographs  News Articles  Letter(s) of Support  You may upload as much material as you like for the College Reps to view.  The top selected finalists will be asked to present a live display and interview at conference.
