Rapu-rapu Coco-Coir Production Enterprise Business Plan

Objectives To train local farmers and fisherfolks in cocohusks processing and utilization To establish a coco based enterprise in Rapu-rapu To utilize the coconut husks in the area in the production of marketable products like fiber, peat, twine and erosion control nets. To generate additional income for the local farm and fishing households

Business Description This is a business enterprise of Poblacion Fisherfolks Association of Rapu-rapu that intends to produce coconut husks products through decortication. The enterprise is basically on production of coco coir, coir dust and other products.

Product Description Coco coir –fiber from Cocohusks classified as CH2 and CH3 Coco dust- cocopeat for use as soil conditioner Twine-to be produced from the fiber Geo-nets- produced from the twine Other products like doormats, etc.

Target Market Coco coir-Juboken Enterprises Cocopeat-local farmers, ornamental farms, RRMI Twine-Juboken Enterprises Geo-Net- RRMI and Juboken Ent. Other products-local market and schools and offices

Competitors No competitor in the area but other businesses may come up in the future (to establish functional linkage with Juboken to cushion possible marketing problems)
