What is Breast Cancer?  Breast Cancer forms in the breast  It is a tumor in the breast  Breast cancer is the most common malignancies in women in the US  It can occur in both men and women but it is rare for men to be diagnosed

Different Types of Breast Cancer  Ductal Carcinoma  Lobular Carcinoma  Invasive Breast Cancer

Ductal Carcinoma  Found in the lining of the milk ducts  Have not spread through the duct walls into the surrounding breast tissue  If not treated, will spread and become Invasive Cancer

Lobular Carcinoma  Starts in the gland that produces milk  Most likely not detected in regular screening or mammograms  It is rarely spreads to other parts of the body  1 in 4 women will develop invasive breast cancer that spreads throughout the body

Invasive Breast Cancer  Cancer cells will grow in the duct lining  Break through the duct wall  Invade breast tissue  May metastasize throughout the body
