The Family Is In Trouble In Our Society The Modern Home In Our Society. The Modern Home In Our Society. ▫ One out of two marriages end in divorce. ▫ The medium age for divorce is 34 for men and 30 for women. ▫ In 1960, one out of every ten households was maintained by a woman with no husband present; 1986, one out of every six households was maintained by a woman with no husband present. ▫ One million teenage girls will get pregnant out of wedlock this year. ▫ Five hundred thousand of those girls will abort their babies.

The Family Is In Trouble In Our Society The Modern Home In Our Society. The Modern Home In Our Society. ▫ Of all the fourteen year old girls alive today, 40 percent will become pregnant by their nineteenth birthday. ▫ Sixty percent of all church involved teenagers are sexually active. ▫ Sixty six percent of American high schools seniors have used illegal drugs. ▫ Every seventy eight seconds, a teenager in America attempts suicide.

What Our Families Need Right Now! Our Families Need A Home Built On The Foundation Of God (Psalm 127:1-2). What Our Families Need Right Now! Our Families Need Husbands Who Will Lead (Ephesians 5:25-30). Our Families Need Husbands Who Will Lead (Ephesians 5:25-30). ▫ Our families need real leaders, real men who will lead.  “For me and “My” house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).  The responsibilities of the husband (Eph. 5:25-30).  This leadership is governed by love (1Cor. 13:4-7).

What Our Families Need Right Now! Our Families Need Wives Who Will Support. Our Families Need Wives Who Will Support. ▫ Our families need to be a team (Genesis 2:18; Proverbs 31:10-12). ▫ Wives need to help and respect their husbands (Ephesians 5:33; Proverbs 14:1). ▫ Wives need to “rule the household affairs” (1Timothy 5:14; Titus 2:5; 1Peter 3:1-4).

What Our Families Need Right Now! Our Families Need Children Who Are Maturing In The Discipline & Instruction Of The Lord & Who Respect & Obey Their Parents (Ephesians 6:1-4; Proverbs 22:6). Our Families Need Children Who Are Maturing In The Discipline & Instruction Of The Lord & Who Respect & Obey Their Parents (Ephesians 6:1-4; Proverbs 22:6). ▫ Parents must bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord!  Are you setting an example that says… “God comes first?”  What are you modeling for them (Proverbs 22:6)?
