Office User Interface Quick Access Toolbar This gives you quick access to various tools. You can add and remove the tools you desire on this toolbar by the down-pointing arrow. This is the menu you will see. OFFICE Button Clicking this button will display the dropdown menu you see below.

Office User Interface This list of tools and options is called a RIBBON. What displays on the “ribbon” is determine by which TAB you have selected. TABS Clicking one of these tabs gives you a list of tools and options for that specific tab.

Office User Interface DIALOG BOX LAUNCHER Clicking this area will open an additional menu. This menu will display all the options available for that particular tab. These are the menus that were available in the 2003 version of Microsoft Office. TITLE BAR This is where the name of the document /file is located. Until you give the document /file a name, the text “Document1” will display.

Office User Interface ZOOM PERCENTAGE This tells you how large your document appears in the document window. ZOOM SLIDER You can use this to increase or decrease the zoom percentage. You may either use the slider itself or click the – and + buttons to change the view size. VIEW MODE This area shows you the various ways you may display your document. The view modes that display here is dependent on which piece of software you have open.
