V6 Portal – Features of KCR May 2007

Introduction >The purpose of this training is to present Version 6.0 of KDS Portal >The training will cover the new features within the KCR (end user) >Version 6 offers many new capabilities including a new intuitive user interface, improved functionality, such as flexible sorting options and a faster, easier booking process. KDS has applied a focus on consumer behaviour with the design of the new user experience, based on collaboration and input from corporate customers and partners. >KDS has re-engineered its solution using Microsoft®.NET. This is Microsoft’s strategic platform for internet development and is emerging as the market standard for web applications. For KDS customers it provides a new technology platform that will allow us to enhance our service performance, availability, security, scalability and robustness as well as shortening development cycles and speeding deployment and integration work.

From clicking on credit card link on home page, the user is directed to profile to modify details

By clicking on respective supplier within the fare matrix, these results can be shown first

Results display page: Users can display outbounds and returns on the same page and are given the choice of how they wish to view the results

Selection review page: The tabs have been replaced with a single page containing information such as payment and delivery methods and quick links to book Hotel and Car

Adding Hotel via quick link:

Selected hotel rate: clear information on rate information with ability to add hotel guarantee and smoking/ non smoking room request

Should a credit card not be available, the user can now add the credit card in the profile and will be returned back to booking page to complete hotel reservation

User is directed back to profile page for cards to add the credit card number

User is taken back to hotel booking page and credit card is now populated
