Workforce Development & Recruitment SCA Training Programme update Core, specialist and management short courses : 139 courses with 2,143 places : 123 courses with 1,968 places Cost per place has decreased from £56 to £54 (includes planning & commissioning, trainers, venues, refreshments, admin, IT, quality assurance, evaluation)

Take-up and Developments Programme revised – CQC requirements, increased personalisation & provider priorities 15 approved training suppliers Co-facilitation with experts by experience Take up risen from 74% to 83% places available over last year (approx 38% dom care) Improved administration & on-line booking Participant quality ratings consistently excellent – good

Recent “alarm bells” Until recently, DNAs & advance cancellations steadily reducing BUT DNAs and advance cancellations have doubled since June; 57% DNAs from Dom Care Anecdotal evidence of increasing recruitment problems in domiciliary care in Surrey
