Project EAT intends to inspire and empower the Wageningen UR community through a participatory process that provides opportunity to learn. Project EAT provides learning through hands-on experience, sharing of knowledge, linking different disciplines, creating partnerships and a sustainable movement. Participatory process as well as collaborative working and decision making, are cornerstones for Project EAT. About us Green Office Wageningen consists of a group of green-minded students aiming to enhance sustainability within Wageningen UR. We bring together stakeholders with interests in sustainability, facilitate the exchange of information, reflect on the sustainability strategy of Wageningen UR and initiate and coordinate projects aimed at greening the campus. Transition Towns is a grassroots network of communities that are working to build resilience in response to peak oil, climate destruction and economic instability Mooi Wageningen is a local community that promotes the natural beauty of Wageningen. Our members and volunteers work ons landscape related projects such as the management of landscape elements such as hedgerow or by collecting roaming litter in the Uiterwaarden. Next to these local initiatives we also engage in discussions on the municipality level. Become a member via or follow us on WEP (Wageningen Environmental Platform ) is a sustainable-minded student organisation, a platform for students with a pro-active stance on sustainability and environmental issues. We promote different kind of activities: debates, workshops and events. In addition, our veggie-bag service and our second-hand bookshop are also up and running throughout the academic year. RUW Join the discussion! Look beyond the borders of your study and learn about trending topics and contemporary issues in the fields of rural development, food production, nature conservation and water management. Enjoy excursions, debates, lectures and workshops and meet students and professionals from your field of interest. Stichting Boerengroep aims to connect farmers and students. We bring students into the field, to get some practical experience and to get to know some Dutch farmers. We bring farmers into lecture rooms, to discuss hot agricultural topics. Our activities are for students and recent graduates of Wageningen UR and Van Hall Larenstein, and organisations like farmers’ associations and rural organisations. Grassroots Science is about questioning dominant ways of doing, giving voice to people on the ground, learning about alternatives, and getting inspired by, and engaging in, promising people-driven initiatives Lokale Schoonheid is a foundation bringing together and increasing impact of local initiatives that make the world a better place. Every person has specific qualities and can contribute to an open, equitable and sustainable society. Lokale Schoonheid invites people to show their own beauty. And it works! The fruits of this co-creative approach you can experience at events. OtherWise is a platform for reflection and interaction on environmental and social justice.
