Purpose and Hypothesis The reason I’m doing this project is to see what substance insulate an ice cube the best: Tinfoil, Tissue, Paper Bag. I think that Tinfoil will keep the ice from melting because deflects heat and light.
The Materials 9 ice cubes 3 sheets of Reynolds Tinfoil 3 bags of ziploc sandwich bags. 3 sheets of tissue paper
Procedure 1 Gather all materials Cut 3 sheets of tinfoil in an 10x18 resolution. Gather 3 sheets of tissue paper Gather 3 Ziploc Bags Then get a bag of ice Then first wrap the tinfoil around the an ice cube then do this stage 3 times total. Repeat 6 with tissue 3 times Repeat 6 with Ziploc Bags 3 times Then record results.
What material will insulate ice the most? 1=least to 3=most
Conclusions Our conclusion was that the tin foil works the best for keeping ice from melting. Our hypothesis was correct. We thought that tinfoil would win and it did. And I was also thinking that paper would melt it in the 30 minutes that we waited. All the tissues were 2 nd place instead of the last time the tissues came in first. And tinfoil came in last. That is what happened in our experiments.
