During , room 206 in the Education Building was redesigned by the CEPS Technology Committee The purpose was to building a new style of classroom that did two things 1. Allowed for more collaboration 2. Incorporated new, cutting edge technologies Focus groups and surveys were recently used to assess the room’s usage and effectiveness

Classes in non-trad before?

Benefits? Group work Hands on experience Working with and not for the professor Technology present See screens from all angles More professional and better atmosphere

Drawbacks? Distractions Space issues Seeing the professor and professor seeing you Noise level Lack of 1:1 student to laptop ratio Professors not being able to fully use technology

Likes? Ability to interact w/ professor and other students Ease of information access Feel more comfortable with tech in real-world

Dislikes? No coffee Less opportunity to slack off
