Physical Description The body of a Chameleon is short and flat. Chameleons from cm. As many as three horns grow will grow from the head of the chameleon. The eyes stick out and function independently,so that the animal can look forward and backward at the same time. Interesting Facts About The Chameleon 1.A female Chameleon lays 30 to 40 eggs yearly and they keep the eggs inside their bodies until they’re ready to hatch. 2. The males establish feeding territories, which they defend by trying to out bluff their rivals. 3.Males of the tree dwelling species of Chameleons rarely come to the ground. However, females of many species dig nests for the 30 or 40 eggs that they lay yearly.
