Kangaroos By Jacob Parnell

What is the Kangaroo’s Average Life Span? The kangaroos do not live like we do. We live to be about 100 years old. Instead they live about 6-8 years. If you want to see them, see them quickly or they will die. Some Kangaroos live to be in the wild to be about 32 years old. That is very old for a kangaroo! Those kangaroos would be very lucky.

Where does it like to Live? They mostly like living in the grasslands of open Australia. They also live in open woodland areas. Also, they like living in forests like rainforests and other forests. Other than that, they live in the savannah & grassy plains.

What does it like to Eat? As a baby they drink milk from their mother. They also eat grass. But it is not ordinary grass. Not brown, not yellow not brown yellow, not green yellow, not whatever. It is the purest green airiest green, the greenest green of all the greens there are. Green grass.

What time does it eat? If they do it at night (which they do mainly), they eat from dusk to dawn. If they do it during the day it must be cloudy & cool.

What can it Do? Most people know that it has the ability to hop & the inability to walk backwards. But most people do not know that it has the lack of thumb.

What body parts does it have? Adults may know that kangaroos have a small head, pointed nose, large ears, a long tail that helps balance during fast hopping and long powerful hind legs. They may not know that they have strong back limbs, long back feet, a powerful, long 4 th toe & a marsupial pouch for their young.

What is the Size of it as an Adult? It is 5 feet 6 inches long, 6 feet 0 inches tall and weighs pounds.

And now…

2 Interesting Facts 1.They are the only large mammal that can hop. 2.A kangaroo is the size of a bumblebee at birth.
