Blizzards By Lauren Hunt

Where do Blizzards Happen? Blizzard often happen in the northern great plans of the united states, in eastern and central Canada, and in some parts of Russia.

How Often do Blizzards Happen? Blizzards happen about 10.7 times a year in cold weather. This is where blizzards usually happen

Structures and features  Usually mountains would be the structure because mountains would catch the cold more. Because it’s so high.

What usually happens in a Blizzard It ‘s a snow storm with strong cold winds. A blizzard happens when cold air mass moves out of the artic into temperate zone.

What can happen  The worst that can happen is you run out of food and water  That you get to cold and freeze  That you get trapped because of the snow

What you measure blizzards in  You measure Blizzards in high winds  You measure Blizzards in snowfall  You measure Blizzards in tempters

Effects that happen after a blizzard  One of the after effects that happen is being trapped in the snow.  Another after effect is after all the blizzard the sun can melt it and there would be a lot of water.  Another effect is objects being frozen like cars the doors would be frozen shut if it was left outside.

Key terms related to blizzards  Cold front : the advancing heavy, cold air forces the warmer, moist air to rise along the boundary between two air masses  Severe Blizzards: has high winds of more than 45 miles per hour and tempters less than 10F.

More details  Tip: try not to get in a blizzard.  blizzards are very dangerous and if you are in a car driving though a blizzard be sure to have water and food that last awhile because it will probably take you awhile to get to your destination.
