AGGRESSIVELY PURSUE BEING A LEADER IN NEW/ADVANCED STRATEGIES IN PREPARING THE NEXT WORKFORCE GENERATION.  Infuse technology college wide.  Develop areas of expertise college wide.  Develop an enhanced “human services” position for the College.  Explore/determine efficiencies that can be achieved by combining course offerings, laboratories, supervision & other efforts (program coordinators) RESPONSIVE TO MARKET WANTS AND NEEDS KNOWING THAT WE CAN BE TRAINING PEOPLE FOR JOBS THAT CURRENTLY DO NOT EXIST.  Focus on areas of high need:  Math/science teacher prep  Special education  Bilingual  Spanish  EX: Health promotion, geriatrics, PK-20 education (public, private, online foreign), public/community services

 Double online course offerings each year for the next 3 years.  Request THE CB approval to offer distance/online for as many COEHS programs as possible.  Develop 3-5 new degree programs to be offered through the College by  Develop relationships with marketing firms to increase enrollment by 15,000-20,000 students.

 Blur the lines between departments – encourage cross disciplinary efforts.  Infuse technology into each and every department.  Become responsible for the development of new programs and degree offerings college wide.  Unit to be led by a program coordinator and team leaders in each curricular aspect – information flow from faculty to administration is open.  Faculty evaluation will be partially based on specific goals set by the Associate Dean and curricular team leaders.  The faculty in Educational Specialties will be “change agents” within the COEHS.
