Activities in Control of trans-boundary diseases on going projects –HPAI and H1N1 of prime attention: Dealt with by RAP-ECTAD –ADB Greater Mekong Project phase I completed - 2nd phase approved –FMD DPRK ongoing Bhutan (pipeline) –ERV in pigs Philippines (ongoing) –Bluetongue workshop planned in collaboration with OIE delayed to 2010 –BSE workshop and working group meeting 2008 –Brucellosis diagnosis and control with an emphasis on B. melitensis in collaboration with OIE (VS reports)

TCDC Instrument established to allow exchange of expertise amongst countries. –Distribution of Brucella (RBT) antigens to 15 countries participated in the 2 nd FAO-APHCA/OIE Regional Workshop on Brucellosis Diagnosis and Control (and Fiji* – upon emergency request) –Thailand‘s request for Jinhua pig semen for use under H.M. Queen‘s project (China – Thailand) –Why do countries do not make use of it? ( * 12,000 doses of RBT antigens provided by Thai DLD.)
