+ Was originally Bethlehem, IN, but then changed the name to Carmel, IN Opened for the first year in 1888 First class graduated in 1890 with only 6 students High School was rebuilt in 1958 with renovations completed in 1969.
+ A four-year comprehensive public high school with over 4,400 students in grades nine through twelve. Graduation rate for the school year was a record high percent. Part of the Carmel Clay Schools district and-- along with three middle schools and eleven elementary schools
+ Block Schedule (Blue day, Gold Day) Many choices including: Astronomy Lifeguarding Cooking Cadet Teaching Meteorology AP Classes in every department
+ There are hundreds of clubs, students can also make a club of their own as long as they find a teacher to sponsor it. Popular Clubs Include: Do Something Club Lifelines Key Club Best Buddies
+ The Carmel Athletics Department was recognized in the May 16, 2005 Sports Illustrated feature article on America's Top 25 High School Athletic Programs. Popular Sports Include Football Swimming/ Diving Basketball Soccer Track Cross Country
