FY 2008 Gov’s Action Summary Universities will benefit from increases for faculty and staff salaries, but many (public and independent) will miss Matching Grants Community colleges will benefit from additional funds for Veterans Grants, but will miss Student Success Grants and additional funding for base operating and equalization grants MAP shift to GRF gives FY07 increases greater permanence, but did not allow for an increase in awards or number of students served; nurses and nurse educators will benefit from loan repayment SURS funding back to actuarially required level New capital projects still uncertain, but very extensive capital bill and funding sources currently being considered by General Assembly
