Business Development Team (BDT) Why did it begin? The BDT was an outgrowth of the National AgrAbility Self- Employment Pilot Project in NYS. It was formed as an avenue to examine how to make self-employment accessible to people with disabilities. Who is on it? NY AgrAbility staff, VESID Director of Counseling, Disabilities Program Navigator (BPAO), Small Business Educators, Employment Services Manager (serving folks with disabilities), Independent Living Center staff What has it become? The BDT advocates for the consumer with a disability, advises him in choosing supports and works on local and global issues affecting self-employment.
