Environmental Monitoring HV iseg beam Sensor cables HV cables ca. 5 m Control room CANbus cable Ethernet cable ca. 70 m DCS PC DUT + Telescope

 Since spring 2012  HV  EHS 8220n-F (8 channels, 2 kV, 4mA)  EHS 8205n-F (8 channels, 500V, 10 mA)  Monitoring  12 NTC for temperature measurement  2 Honeywell humidity sensors  1 four wire measurement e.g.  Precise measurement of resistors  PT100 etc.  DCS PC  Windows XP  PVSS 3.8

 Operating system must be upgraded!  Windows XP not supported anymore  Migration from PVSS 3.8 to WinCC 3.11 recommended.  Request by users:  Change the reaction to over currents  currently channels are switched off  ‘current source’ behaviour possible (max current is kept, voltage is reduced)  possible by changing the iseg settings  Improve manual  e.g. restart of archiving

 ATLAS IBL DCS uses  Iseg EHS HV modules  DCS monitoring crate   Quality Assurance of cooling pipes  Pressure transmitter  Flow transmitter  Active and passive current loops (4-20 mA)  Based on DCS monitoring crate  ATLAS testbeam  Copy of AIDA DCS + LV modules integrated into DCS as well  MPOD modules (8 channels, 0..8V, 5A, sense wires)  requires a different crate: MPOD Mini Crate  Crate houses HV and LV modules  spring 2014
