 New age way of communication.  Virtual Network of Friends and Co-Workers through the click of a button.  Groups of individuals interact by region, affiliation, school, work, etc.  Online community where a profile page is often used to represent the interests of the user  Mainly used for socialization based on common interest.

 Teens and young adults use sites such as twitter, Facebook and Myspace.  Professionals in all fields overwhelm the site LinkedIn.  A full 25% of the users on these sites are aged 35 to 44, which in other words is the age group that dominates the social media sphere.
