You get the picture PROFESSIONAL!!!

What our Squad picture should look like:

just right

Last note about Clothing Goodwill & Wal-mart are fine. We WILL be judged by our appearance.

Finances Typical Tournament costs $70 for RHS per student, not including food. You pay half because of CONCESSIONS plus food money you send with your students. STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS cost more, but we try to cover TC with earnings from the tournament we host – the Bearcat Classic. Average cost of 5 tournaments = 350 Average cost of 7 tournaments = 500

Parent Responsibilities Attend 1 tournament to judge & chaperone Listen to your student practice at home Talk to your student about the new ideas he or she is encountering and help your child think through how they relate to your family’s values. Stay connected! Help your student connect with local businesses to raise money for the Bearcat Classic – our tournament we host in October

Student Responsibilities Debaters – Keep up with the news this summer. Print at least one web article per week to bring to camp. Speech/Drama – Search for an 8-10 minute speech you like & print it for camp. Realize that you’re going to be held to a higher standard of behavior than other RHS students. If you make poor choices at school, drop below a 3.0 or get in trouble with another teacher, you will not be able to go on debate tournaments!
