Read Chapters 1 & 2 From descriptions in Chapter One of the text, choose two or three different types of legal practices in which you would like to work. Use #2 assignment at the back of the chapter to help decide your criteria.

For EACH choice, explain why this type of setting and/or work would fit you. In these paragraphs, you are showing ME that you have some understanding of the type of work and work setting which exists in your choice.

As an alternative, choose one type of legal practice in which you would like to work, with the explanation, AND one type of legal practice you would NOT like to work and why.

Next, for your top choices: look on the internet (some sites are found in your text, page 40-42, and this should give you an idea of what to look for). Try Martindale-Hubbell at for a reliable lawyer locator or look in the Yellow Pages under attorneys and then further search on the internet. Find 3 law firms, businesses or other entities where you would consider further research and interviews. Give their name, address, telephone number and any other relevant information.
