STRATEGIC GOALS & PRIORITES More Children & Young People living in a stable and supported and supported families. More Children & Young People get wider opportunities for development through extra curricular activities run by the statutory and voluntary sector

ORGANISATIONAL DIRECTION AREA BASED WORKING: The County’s new area-based model of working. Areas are as follows: Daventry/South Northants Northampton Town Wellingborough/East Northants Kettering/Corby

AREA-BASED WORKING Area based working will increase focus on the integration of service delivery at local level, increase efficiency and more importantly will ensure that Children, Young People and their families receive services in a joined up way Delivery style: Multi-Disciplinary Teams with LOTS around the County (Local Operation Teams) – Targets local needs more efficiently

NCC CONTRACTS Area based contracts: Kettering & Corby Wellingborough & East Northants Daventry & South Northants Northampton Countywide: Youth Academy

GOVERNMENT TARGETS Recorded Outcomes Accredited Outcomes Volunteering Engagement in positive activities (Includes specialised services such as counselling, information & advocacy) Participation

IDENTIFYING NEEDS How do we ensure appropriate and effective services are provided via commissioning? Data Analysis collated – partnerships – to identify what services are currently being provided and potential gaps Children &Young People’s evaluations Needs Analysis conducted Stakeholders feedback: professionals, carers/ families, schools etc

SPECIFICATION DEVELOPMENT Information gathered to identify needs and your organisations aims/objectives/targets are used to write a specification The specification is used to develop questions for service providers to assess their abilities and capacity to deliver Provide Children & Young People with the specifications developed. Briefly cover the core elements

GROUP WORK EXERCISE AIMS: To develop questions for organisations bidding for NCC contracts To produce a presentation title for organisations bidding for NCC contracts Trainer: Use session plan as guidance
