GDCO is non-profitable NGO (Gedaref Sudan) It is the founder of the first digital city in Sudan (2005) and the first national Telecentre academy in Africa (2008) It is the winner of information for development award (i4d 2007) and (i4d 2008 e-India) for the best innovative grassroots Telecentre. It has strong partnership with the great people of Eindhoven through the digital city of Eindhoven (DSE) where 750 computers were donated to establish many projects in Sudan. Its objectives are using of information technology for the development of the community. What is your experience on motivator training up to now? About motivator training Training WE ARE WORKING VERY HARD TO BRIDGE THE DIGITAL DIVIDE. WE TRAIN THE COMMUNITY FOR ACOST PRICE AND THE DISABLED FOR FREE. WE PROVIDE THE DEAF FREE COMPUTERS TO KEEP AT HOME. WE TRAINED MORE THAN 2000 IN THE COMMUNITY, ALSO WE TRAINED 140 DEAF, 110 PHYSICA DISABLED WE TRAIN THE BASIC COURSE FOR COMPUTERS AND SPECIAL COURSES (SSPS, AUTO-CAD, WEBDESIGN … ACCORDING TO THE NEEDS)

What are your expectations from the meeting? What is your motivation? What needs are you expecting to fulfill? 1-we expect a good network for the future of Telecentre movement which promote sharing experiences and knowledge 2- We expect to develop and share a framework for standard curriculum With a global a certification 3- We expect to have partnership with partners who have deep experience in designing and delivering online training. 4- We expect to speed up a quick global Telecentre academy programme which lead to basic parameters for collaboration among Motivation, needs, contributions

What could you contribute to the meeting? What are your organization’s strengths? we share our experience, what steps we had done to establish Sudan national Telecentre academy. GDCO is a member in TLF, EATLF, TC-MENA, GKP. CIVICUS Motivation, needs, contributions What is your motivation?
