Technical English By Terry Phillips

Technical English This course has been designed for learners who will be using English in a scientific or engineering environment. Intermediate–upper-intermediate CEF: B1–B2 IELTS: 4.0–6.0

Technical English Introduces the vocabulary to understand and communicate basic technical concepts in fields such as algebra, chemistry and physics. Presents vocabulary related to specific technical area, and reviews relevant grammar points to help students express themselves with confidence. Direct and concise approach encourages students to work both independently and with others on a range of activities.

Technical English Variety of authentic text types, such as instruction manuals and scientific articles. Range of listening texts, such as lectures and dialogues. Transferable reading and listening skills with grammar for clarification and support. Authentic tasks designed to promote transferable skills. Covers 500 basic technical words.

Technical English 21 units covering a wide range of technical themes. Full-colour, 120-page Course Book with audio CD. Teacher’s Book with lesson-by-lesson notes, including answer keys and transcripts.
